HOW YOU CAN HELP US

1. Please extend the same courtesy and politeness to the team as you would expect to receive.

2. Requests for repeat prescriptions should be made in good time to ensure continuity of treatment.

3. Do not expect a prescription from every consultation with the doctor. There may be other options for treatment of your condition.

4. Please use the out of hours service only when absolutely necessary.

5. Please arrive in good time for your appointment.

6. Tell us if you no longer require your appointment.

7. Make a separate appointment for each person requiring a consultation with the doctor or nurse.

8. Whilst privacy will be respected by staff, you should notify the receptionist if your appointment is for anything special (eg smear, postnatal, coil fitting etc) as a longer appointment will be required.

9. Home visits should be regarded as a service for the genuinely housebound or seriously ill. They are very time consuming and their misuse disadvantages those in genuine need.

10. Please tell us when you change your name or address.

WHEN PROBLEMS ARISE

We hope that you will be happy with the service you receive from us. In the event of a problem arising we have a procedure to deal with complaints and criticisms. Any concerns should be addressed in the first instance to the practice manager who will explain how the procedure works. Every effort will be made to deal with the matter swiftly and efficiently.
